EDUKASI DAN LATIHAN RINGAN UNTUK MENGATASI NYERI PINGGANG FLEKSIBILITAS SENDI DENGAN PENDEKATAN FLEKSI WILLIAM

ABSTRAK
Penurunan fleksibilitas sendi dan nyeri punggung bawah (low back pain) merupakan masalah umum pada dewasa dan lansia akibat proses penuaan dan kurangnya aktivitas fisik. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan masyarakat dalam menjaga fleksibilitas sendi melalui pendekatan Fleksi William. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyuluhan edukatif, demonstrasi latihan, praktik langsung, serta evaluasi melalui pre-post test. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Jl. Sungai Gampa RT.022 Banjarmasin dengan sasaran masyarakat dewasa dan lansia. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata pengetahuan peserta sebesar 52%, dari 44,6 pada pre-test menjadi 94,2 pada post-test. Peserta juga mampu mempraktikkan gerakan Fleksi William dengan benar. Kesimpulannya, edukasi dan latihan Fleksi William efektif meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam manajemen nyeri pinggang secara mandiri.

ABSTRACT
Decreased joint flexibility and low back pain are common issues among adults and the elderly due to the aging process and physical inactivity. This community service activity aims to improve public knowledge and ability to maintain joint flexibility through the William Flexion approach. The implementation methods included educational counseling, exercise demonstrations, direct practice, and evaluation via pre-post tests. The activity was conducted at Jl. Sungai Gampa RT.022, Banjarmasin, targeting adults and elderly residents. The evaluation results showed a 52% increase in the participants' average knowledge score, rising from 44.6 on the pre-test to 94.2 on the post-test. Participants were also able to perform William Flexion movements correctly. In conclusion, education and William Flexion exercises are effective in improving community understanding and skills in managing low back pain independently.
